How do I install the browser extension?

Installing al.bot is quick and easy:

  1. Click the "Add to [browser]" button at the top of the page to open your browser's store
  2. Click the "Add to [browser]" button in the store to install
  3. Pin the extension for easy access by clicking the extensions icon in the top right of your browser and selecting the pin icon next to al.bot

Pro tip: You can also use al.bot directly from your URL bar - just type "al", press TAB, and enter your question.

What does al.bot do?

al.bot asks your questions to multiple LLMs to compare answers and avoid hallucinations.

What AI chatbots does al.bot support?

Al.bot supports ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, DeepSeek, Meta AI, Mistral, Grok and Qwen.

How does al.bot work?

Al.bot acts as a proxy for your questions by sending your prompts to the respective chatbot websites via your browser. It runs directly on your browser, and uses the accounts for the chatbots you're signed into.

Some of the chatbots say "Extension requires site permission". What should I do?

1. Go to the Manage extensions page in your browser.
2. Click on al.bot and allow access to all sites.
3. Press "Retry" after giving permission.

Some of the chatbots are giving errors. What should I do?

1. Visit the chatbot's site to ensure it's working and confirm you're logged in.
2. Press "Retry" after logging in.
3. If the issue persists, contact us by sending an email to [email protected].

Some of the chatbots aren't returning answers.

1. Check if the chatbot's website is functional and you're logged in.
2. If "Deep Research" is enabled in that chatbot's settings, disable it, as it might be causing delays.
3. You can also skip that chatbot by summarizing the results early.

Some of the chatbots don't support file uploads.

Not all chatbots support file uploads. For those that do, you may need to be signed in for the feature to work.

Some of the chatbots are giving incorrect answers.

AI chatbots can occasionally make mistakes. We recommend:
- Comparing responses from multiple chatbots.
- Fact-checking important information independently.
- Using the rating feature to provide feedback on their answers.

How can I choose which chatbots to use?

You can customize the list of chatbots used in al.bot through the settings page. Press the menu button in the top left corner, and then select the chatbots you'd prefer to use by selecting the checkboxes.

How can I change the order in which chatbots answer?

You can reorder the chatbots via the settings page. Press the menu button in the top left corner, and then drag and drop the chatbots into your preferred order.

How can I view my past chats?

Al.bot saves your chat history so that you can access past conversations. Press the menu button in the top left corner, and then select one of your previous chats from the History section at the bottom.

How can I share a chat?

At the top of each conversation, there's a "Share" button you can use to share a link to your chat. You can share the summary by clicking the "Share Message" button at the bottom of the summary.

How can I see the summary before all chatbots are finished?

You can view a partial summary by clicking the "Summarise now" button at the bottom of the summary. This allows you to skip waiting for all chatbots to finish responding.

How can I set a custom prompt?

You can set a custom prompt for the chatbots in the settings menu. Press the menu button in the top left corner, and enter your desired prompt in the "Custom prompt" section to tailor the responses to your needs. The custom prompt will be copied to the top of each message before it is sent to the respective chatbot.

Can I use deep reasoning / deep research?

Yes, you can use deep reasoning / deep research with models that support it. From the main al.bot extension page, click the "Deep Reasoning" button. This will enable deep reasoning for all chatbots that support it. Click it again to disable it.

Can I ask a question to a specific chatbot?

Yes, you can direct your question to one or more chatbots. Type the @ symbol followed by the chatbot's name and then press the tab key to ask a specific chatbot. For example typing @chatgpt will only ask the question to chatgpt. You can also use the reply button underneath a chatbot's response to direct a follow-up question to that chatbot.
